Standalone or with ApeX Trading Console

  1. Everything above works on its own — ApeX Trading Console is not required. On its own, you tag the setup yourself after each trade
  2. With ApeX Trading Console, you pick the setup and add a comment in the Trade Setup window before you enter, so the trade is tagged for you
  3. With ApeX Trading Console, each trade also keeps its management history: every SL/TP move (from → to, with time), when Break-even was moved, whether Trailing Stop ran and in which mode, and which TP/SL level each partial close came from. This is recorded for trades taken while both are running — MetaTrader 5 does not keep SL/TP change history, so older trades cannot be filled in
  4. With ApeX Trading Console, Screenshots — the camera on the Trade Card captures the chart and files it under that trade, and every shot is browsable in one gallery
  5. The pre-trade setup checklist and "plan vs actual" need ApeX Trading Console (sold separately), because only the trade manager knows your plan before you enter

Your license key is emailed to you as soon as the payment is confirmed.

Activate

Start the ApeXLicense service, then in ApeX Journal open ☰ › License, paste the key and press Activate.

Requirements

  1. MetaTrader 5 desktop terminal
  2. The ApeXLicense service (included in the download) running, with Allow DLL imports ticked
  3. Internet connection — the license is checked online and keeps working offline for up to 24 hours

Questions

Do I need ApeX Trading Console?

No. ApeX Journal reads your account history by itself. Only the pre-trade setup checklist, "plan vs actual" and taking screenshots need ApeX Trading Console. The two products have separate licence keys.

Is the AI Coach included in the price?

The AI Coach feature is included, but it needs your own API key from an AI provider, so token usage is billed to you by that provider. No AI tokens are included in the price. Tip: Google Gemini has a free API key tier (with usage limits set by Google) that works with the coach. You can set a daily request cap, and the coach never sends your balance, login, broker name or images.

Can I try it first?

Yes. The free Demo version runs on demo accounts — get it from the Downloads page.

Does it place trades?

No. ApeX Journal is an indicator — MetaTrader 5 does not let indicators trade. It only reads and shows your history.

I lost my license key.

Open the link on the order confirmation page to send a new key, or reply to your key email. A new key replaces the old one.

Do demo accounts count toward the limit?

No. Demo accounts can use the key without using up a real-account slot.

How do I cancel a subscription?

Sign in to your account page and press "Manage subscription". You keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
